 heart1CPR for the Healthcare Provider- This is a course for Healthcare providers.  The main components are; recognizing a life threatening emergency, learning how to provide basic life support to adults, children and infants, learning to use an Automatic External Defibrillator and barriers, and what to do in the case of an airway obstruction or choking. Certification Cards issued upon successful course completion.

heart1CPR for the Community – Learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide basic life support and what to do in the case of an airway obstruction or choking, as well as the necessary skills for the administration of CPR to adults, children and infants.  Certification cards issued upon successful course completion.

 

red_crossBasic First Aid – Learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness. We offer crucial information about how to deal with emergencies like shock, burns, heart attack, stroke and seizures.

The common elements of this class are: scene survey; Initial assessment; Infection control; Treatment for: Bleeding; Shock; Burns;  Head & spine injuries, Bites & stings; Diabetic emergencies; Seizures; Heat emergencies;  Bandaging wounds; Fainting; Moving victims.  We emphasize hands on skill sessions in bleeding control and cleaning/bandaging a wound.  Certification Card issued upon successful course completion.

pacifierChild and Babysitting Safety – A community education program, developed with the American Academy of Pediatrics and a number of other national organizations that covers infant/child safety and basic care techniques for present or would-be babysitters. Topics covered are Pediatric CPR, Choking,  First Aid and Child Safety. This is a 4 hour class. A workbook for participants to keep is included in course fee. Certification cards issued upon successful completion of course.
 

heartpulseAutomated External Defibrillation (AED) – Training includes recognition of unresponsive victims, review of equipment operation and maintenance, discussion of treatment and valuable hands-on practice designed to increase skills.  This is a 1 hour class.  Must be taken with CPR or must have current CPR certification.

Payable by cash or check to the instructor the date of the class unless previous arrangements are made .
